Versace Resort 2025 Menswear

Versace mens

Donatella Versace took a bold step with her resort collection, opting for a slender, tailored silhouette in rich burgundy—a surprising departure from the brand’s traditional aesthetic. Known for her willingness to disrupt norms, Donatella has her eye on a younger audience eager for fresh and exciting fashion. Versace’s history with men’s tailoring goes back to Gianni Versace’s era, highlighted in the rare and sought-after 1995 Herb Ritts book “Men Without Ties,” which showcased Gianni’s provocative and boundary-pushing approach to masculine fashion.

While Donatella has fiercely upheld her brother’s legacy, she chose a more subtle, nuanced approach for this collection. The theme of “sober” might seem at odds with Versace’s usual exuberance, but Donatella struck a balance between restraint and flair. The season’s must-have suit was strict and fitted, combining sartorial precision with elements of workwear and sporty touches to lighten the overall look.

Adding to the vibrant energy were pops of peridot, lime, and bright lipstick red. Heritage Gallery motifs were reimagined and printed on silk twill quilted boxy overshirts and jacquard blousons. True to her signature style, Donatella embraced sheer fabrics with fitted shirts in see-through devoré, featuring playful micro florals, strawberries, and ladybugs. As always, Versace’s signature sexy clash was ever-present, ensuring the collection stayed true to the brand’s daring spirit.
