After the sensational Valentino couture show in July, with Kaia Gerber’s striking appearance in a white shirt and sequin-embroidered silk jeans, this style has become a major trend. Pierpaolo Piccioli has taken this trend further for the resort collection by introducing more accessible, yet equally glamorous, jeans with sequin embellishments at the hem.
In keeping with Valentino’s successful formula from previous collections, Piccioli continues to layer button-up shirts under lightweight knits. The midi skirts are adorned with vibrant embroidered prints, while the iconic Pink PP shade now graces feather-trimmed sheer button-up shirts. Simultaneously, the tomboy-inspired mini shorts and ties from the spring 2024 menswear collection have been reimagined and paired with thigh-high boots and a feather-trimmed cape, adding a dynamic touch to the collection.
Valentino currently holds the eighth spot on Lyst’s list of the hottest brands for the third quarter. The collection’s simple hoodies, featuring a metallic “V” logo brooch at the center, and suede gum-soled sneakers stand as evidence of Piccioli’s vision for a “versatile wardrobe” that places a strong emphasis on “urban elegance.” This enduring vision continues to captivate fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
